This is titled part one because we are going to go through this title for a while with various subtitles (the subtitle for this is “31 Attributes of God”). The purpose of this is give you a better understanding of God. We hope that this would in some way cause you to be captivated by the nature of God and it would encourage you to seek to develop a deeper understanding of and a reverent fear of God (After all the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom ..Proverbs 9:10).
Below are 31 Attributes of God, if you chose to you could memorise one each day, you would know 31 Attributes of God in a month.
Memorising portions of scripture is Good for your soul, Psalm 119:11 says “Your word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” (How can it be in your heart if it’s not in your head ? I would be interested to see the answers you guys give to this ) Comment below if you’re up for the challenge of memorising these, one a day isn’t that hard, you could simply write it on a piece of paper and look at it periodically through the day.
I know you’re all extremely intelligent so it should be a breeze. You can chose to subscribe to our mailing list to see what part two of these series would be on or you could just check back regularly (I trust most of you do that anyway ). We pray that you would really get a deeper understanding of who God is through what we would be sharing with you during the coming weeks…Have fun

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
God has a plan for you and me, he has something he created us to do, something unique to us, something we are naturally good at. Yet, the problem is a lot of us spend too much time trying to improve the stuff we have never been good at in the first place, instead of focusing our time on discovering and working on our gifts. Here is something that is fundamentally important to understand: You cannot be good at everything, you won’t be successful in everything you do, but you are excellent at something!
So now stop worrying too much on things you’ve never been good at and start worrying about building up things you are good at and making them better. Don’t get me wrong here; I’m not saying you should go around not worrying about doing anything just because you don’t enjoy it, that’s just being lazy! The problem I’m addressing though, is focusing on your weakness and then in the process, neglecting your strength until it becomes a weakness; can you see the potential danger in that? It’s like spending your life trying to fly when you where born with legs to walk and not wings?
Some people can naturally talk, its a gift from God, they use it properly, some can write, this is also a gift, they use it well, some can not sing or compose music but they want to because they like the recognition people have gotten from it, and that’s why there are so many songs that aren’t even worth listening to (Not knocking singers here, just saying the truth). I know some people would say ‘well how can I discover what my strength, how do I know what I’m good at’. The first thing I advise is to stop trying to be what you’re not, accept yourself for who you are no matter how silly you think you are, or how unimportant you think you are, truth is God sees you as beautiful, he doesn’t just think you’re wonderful he knows you are! When you do this you will see the champion that has been within you all the while will start to emerge and then you will find true fulfilment.
God didn’t make you to be mediocre, he didn’t make you to be unimportant or inferior, he made you to be good, the bible says you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). So please stop trying so hard to be some one else, it’s probably more difficult to be another person than to be you, and whether you chose to accept it or not, the truth is that no one is perfect, including me! We all envy people sometimes when we see something they have that we have always wanted, even if we don’t intend to, it’s a human thing. However we must constantly strive to kill those thoughts by affirming to ourselves that Gods plan for us is to give us the desires of our hearts. If we would only delight our selves in him by making him our satisfaction when we feel empty, alone, sad, and angry!
Don’t let your first point of call be your friend or anyone else for that matter, make it a habit to always go to God, he can be your friend, your comforter and your hero all at once (COOL huh)! Once you get in this habit, You would see that God would start to fill this spaces for these things in your heart and you’ll find yourself wanting nothing but more and more of him, simply because the pleasure of knowing him is simply addictive and nothing any human being should live without really knowing or experiencing. Just give it a try! Another thing I have to warn you about is rushing things: sometimes God wants us to be patient and he will show us what he wants us to do, in his time. The Bible says there is a time for everything and everything is beautiful in its own time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
I know, it’s easy to say but hard to do; or is it? Yes, only if you try to do it yourself. Stop trying to do it yourself, say a little Prayer and ask God to help you. He is faithful (Even when we’ve been naughty)
Here’s a short prayer:
Lord Jesus, I don’t know what plans you have for me, but your word says that they are plans to prosper me and give me hope and a future. Please help me to realise what it is you want me to hope for. I don’t want my hope, I want your hope, help me to be patient and to wait on you, so my story will be a beautiful one. Help me to be strong, even when I feel weak please be my strength, and guide me by your own hands into realising what I was born to do!
Thanks for reading, I know you’re already blessed so…
Sometimes there are answers to big questions in simplicity, look around you; the trees, the animals, the whole earth! Its fascinating and surprisingly perfect, the animals that need to run fast to survive are built just for that, birds that need to fly high are built just for that as well, they are perfect for their purpose, birds where made to fly, and that’s what they do, how awkward it would be for a bird to walk all its life and never realise it could fly, sad as it may seem some people, live life like a bird that can’t fly, they try to do things they have no business doing, and focus on things that cause distraction and this leads to them not actually discovering what they where put on this earth for, sometimes we need to take a step back, stop living a passive life, and ask, why am I here, what has God put me on this earth for..when you discover what God made you to do, you would realise you where made to do just that, and nothing else would bring as much fulfilment as doing what you where made for, if you live a passive life there would always be an emptiness inside. Ask God to show you what he has planned for you and then go ahed and do what you where born to do!
The Bible Says : For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11.
