Hopeless Without Christ

I may not be what I one day will be, but i’ll tell you this i am not what I used to be, and though I can’t explain exactly how it all happened but I know this for certain for right from the very beginning I knew this and I know this 19 years later, Jesus christ did it!

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a]have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. – (Romans 5:1-5)

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.  - (Romans 15:4)

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism – (Ephesians 4:1-5)

the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. – (Colossians 1:26-27)
