A lot of individuals are quick to identify problems, but sometimes it may be much more effective to outline a solution rather than focus mainly on the problem. The issue I have chosen to address is that of ‘purity’. As christians, we sometimes think it is too difficult to keep our ways pure, yet there are thousands of sermons on purity and even more individuals struggling with keeping pure. It is almost inevitable for purity to be a main issue of concern considering what the media has evolved into over the years, however, sometimes it’s much easier to keep things simple, and I’m going to offer a God given solution for this issue, and it is this… PSALM 119:9..the bible clearly says this ”how can a young man keep his way pure?’‘. It give us the answer : By living according to the word of God. Although living according to the word of God is much more than one sentence the concept is quite simple. Thus, instead of worrying too much about not being able to meet the holiness mark (that you have set for yourself) , cast your worries unto God and strive instead to live according to the word of God, then you will become more like him. By this you will become more holy because he is the Lord and he makes you holy! Trying to make yourself holy is a fail right from the start.
